a mirror for cooperative fiction — model-only TTRPG engine
— / 100 ticks · 0 / 5K tokens
Cast · characters with goals, LLMs, tendencies
Each character has a name, an LLM (Z.AI / DeepInfra / Claude), and a "sheet" of tendencies + word-association probabilities. The harness calls all characters in parallel each tick.
Setting · the prose that frames the world
Transcript · rounds stacked as seams
Hit "Tick →" to begin. The DM will open the scene, then each character responds in parallel.

Resonance Graph · who cites whom
Citations accumulate as characters reference each other across rounds. The most-cited cells earn the most resonance.
Scars · preserved through rewind
When the simulation breaks down and you rewind, the scar of the breakdown is preserved. You can't patch over it. The next iteration has to address it.
About
What is erised?
erised = desire reversed. A mirror for cooperative fiction. The operator authors the conditions — state, cadence, cast, setting — and the fiction plays itself. Power is given, not taken. Time is finite; resonance earns more.
Built on the Quilt cell-fabric runtime. Open source. MIT. Inspired by Plato's cave (the cell as first-person spatial observer), the philosophers' stone (transmutation through resonance), and the Mirror of Erised (showing the heart's desire).
How to read the run
Each round: DM opens → characters respond in parallel → their word-association shifts accumulate → citations are tracked → next round. The character with the highest cumulative net shift has the most resonance in the field.
"Scar" = a tick where the simulation broke down (a character's response went off, the DM closed prematurely, the budget ran out). Scars are visible across rewinds. They are the unit of learning.
🌙 Full-Night Iterations
erised runs the cooperative fiction engine. These are the finished nights — full transcripts, voiced audio, interactive players. Each is one erised run, completed and deployed. The runs you script here become nights like these.
